NHA has identified the following areas of focused activities:
- Policy: Activities undertaken will include policy: collection, analysis, development processes and position papers.
Health Information:
Activities will include: develop and maintain committee partnerships, collect health system resources (international/national/provincial/regional), provide health planning information analysis and health conditions literature reviews. Health Information activities will focus on:
Education Strategy: Activities will include:
- identify and research educational strategies to promote cultural awareness and sensitive practices;
- promote the Aboriginal health model and systems.
Information Sharing and Communication: Ensure that health information is accessible to the Aboriginal health community.
Research: Activities will include:
- Creating a collection of working papers, reports, and research documents (Aboriginal organizations, academia and gov't).
- Establish and maintain partnerships with Aboriginal organizations, researchers and gov't.
- Identify research opportunities, undertake research & research analysis and work toward bringing Aboriginal identified priorities to the forefront of research.
